Choosing where to base yourself for the Full Moon Party is the most important decision a group makes for the trip. Stay in Haad Rin itself and you are inside the noise: bass through the walls, crowds in the streets, ฿4,000–8,000 a night for a basic room with no pool, and a 24-hour party economy that does not switch off between events. Stay 30 minutes north in Haad Salad and the relationship inverts. You taxi to Haad Rin when you want the chaos, and return to a private pool at sunrise. The drive is 25–35 minutes (40–50 on Full Moon night with traffic) and costs about ฿200–300 per taxi. We coordinate driver pickups and return trips for the group so nobody has to negotiate at 4am.
The 5-night party arc on Koh Phangan
Most groups think the Full Moon Party is one night and miss that Phangan runs an underground party arc all month. Around any Full Moon date there are typically four to five major events the same week: Pre-Moon at Eden Garden (Haad Yuan), Half Moon Festival in the Ban Tai jungle, Jungle Experience on Saturdays, the Full Moon itself at Sunrise Beach Haad Rin, and an after-Moon "Recovery" set somewhere on the island. Villa La Favela is geographically central enough that all five are 25–45 minutes by taxi. Plan your dates around the lunar calendar (or message us and we'll suggest a week) and you can hit every landmark night while still using the villa as your base.
Group logistics: 8 people, one villa
Four en-suite bedrooms means everyone gets their own door and their own bathroom — no fights over the shower at 11pm before going out, no shared walls between the early sleepers and the late-night returners. The two kitchens make pre-game logistics trivial: drinks set up downstairs, food upstairs, no traffic jam at one fridge. The 60m² pool is large enough for the whole group at once (or for a recovery float when half the group is sleeping). Free parking for two cars, scooter pickup and drop-off arranged on request, and a fully gated property means no strangers wandering through the morning after.
Nightclub-to-villa transport, demystified
Songthaews (open shared taxis) run between Haad Salad and Haad Rin until late evening on regular nights and all night during Full Moon. Expect ฿200–300 per taxi (one to four people), or ฿500 for an after-midnight private taxi during peak nights. We can pre-arrange a driver for your group so a fixed rate is locked before you leave the villa, and we can hold the driver for the return — important on Full Moon nights when finding an empty taxi at 5am at Haad Rin can take 30 minutes. For groups who prefer total flexibility, scooter rental from Thong Sala is ฿250–350/day; only recommended for experienced riders, and not after drinking.

“We really had an amazing stay. The villa is beautifully decorated, the beds wonderful, the view stunning. Nothing is missing, everything has really been thought of (water tap that purifies the water, washing machine, wine cabinet etc.). Also the communication with Charlotte was super. The accommodation is beautifully situated near at least 3 beaches within a 10 minutes drive. Great for sunrise walks or evening sunsets, plus there's some amazing places to grab a bite to eat nearby.
